Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Got to spend all the time I wanted handling a new Ruger owned Marlin 1895. If it’s a fair representation of what they will be putting out I’m excited! Fit, finish and action were excellent for a mass produced rifle in todays world. Can’t wait to see what the 1894’s look like!
Waxahachie Kid #17017 L Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 The one I looked at, at a gunshow a few weeks ago, was nice...for what it was. But, I was not interested in paying $1,800, for it. I can buy an excellent used J.M. Marlin for less than that, and in a design I prefer. So...for me...the waiting continues.
Frontier Lone Rider Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Just took two JM Marlin 1895 CBs in like new condition to the pawn shop yesterday, asking $850 each. I shot this caliber in Long Range, so one I used, the backup was never fired. Once I discovered the 336 CB in 38-55, I never fired the 45-70 again. So, they have just been sitting in a safe for years.
