Yes, indeed.  Hate selling it, but I now realize my children, except for my youngest son, don't care about older guns and may be a while before they have the maturity to take care of things.  My 18 year old running out into the night at 1130 to sponge off her friends and not come back just reinforced that in my mind.

Only markings are there is a letter E on the bolt handle and a U on the sling swivel and VFW on the stock so.it must have been a drill rifle at the VFW at one point which explains the fouling in the barrel.  There is some shine in the barrel but some pitting as well.  I fired it a couple of years ago and it hit the target at 100 yards.  

 

The bayonet is often a couple of hundred dollars so that is part of why the price is where it is.

good to know, I’m not as educated on these as I am on the Mausers etc. looks like a fun rifle, hope it goes to a good home
