Pulp, SASS#28319
My church group is working cleanup in Dawson Springs, KY. Found a couple of things I thought may be of interest. Paper 12 gauge shell and a magazine page:
Maddog McCoy SASS #5672
Henry is making an (almost) exact copy of the Henry rifle in 44-40. I saw one in a gun shop about a month or so ago. $3000+ Nice rifle but a bit high for my wallet. Alpo, is that better
Alpo
How can you make an "exact copy" if it's chambered for the wrong cartridge?
Maddog McCoy SASS #5672
I watched a guy with a Navy Arms Henry set off most of the rounds in the tube when he released the spring and it hit the rounds in the tube. That was years ago when I first started SASS and cured me of wanting one. He was not using FPRN bullets in it. The new one I looked at could have the same problem. It was designed for rimfires, so the mag tube and spring arrangement wasn't an issue. The repros are chambered in centerfire- since the only rimfire that survived from the early days of cartridge guns is the .22- and the design carries that danger because of the ammo.
