Fort Reno Kid
Howdy Pards Have some primed brass cases that a good Pard asked me to mail to him. Does the USPS permit primed brass to be sent thru the mail? Or is it a no-no that’ll sic the postal inspectors on me? As a last resort I could deprime the brass but it’d be lots more useful in its primed state. Thanks and Adios Fort Reno Kid

Tequila Shooter
Just to tag on with Mr. Pettifogger, you can get primed shotgun hulls from BPI with no hazmat fee, so other than it having to go UPS or FEDEX you should be good.
Nickel City Dude
I have shipped Ammo by UPS but the UPS store will not except the box. You have to take it to a Hub or give it to a driver. USPS will not ship any ammo. The boxes use to have to be labeled ORM-D, Cartridges, small arms. But I think the label requirements have changed. Caladisi kid
This is the new label, no other markings required. The label has to be 4" square. ORM-D Phase-Out Poster (1).pdf

Fort Reno Kid
Howdy Pards Thanks for the info. I was aware of shipping by UPS and FedEx. Question remains, however, can primed brass be mailed thru the United States Postal Service? Thanks and Adios Fort Reno Kid
DeaconKC
No, you cannot ship primed brass via USPS.
Nate Kiowa Jones #6765
16 hours ago, DeaconKC said: No, you cannot ship primed brass via USPS. What he said. USPS does not ship ammo. They consider primed brass the same as ammo. They will ship brass, and bullets. But no powders or primers or loaded ammo.
