Trigger Mike
My 12 year old and I discovered we had some expired cardboard cartons or orange juice and a liter bottle of some drink my daughter bought and forgot about. We took a Cimarron 1860 in 45lc and fired at them and the round would make a hole and the contents would leak, except for the 1 liter bottle, it flew when hit. When I decided to finish them off with my Sig 938 with 115 grain hollow points, each bottle flew in much more dramatic fashion than the 45lc. I was using 200 grain cowboy ammo. I thought it was interesting to see the difference.
Blackwater 53393
Unless the cartons were sealed and refilled, the comparison is without value.
Utah Bob #35998
We’re you using Vowboy ammo in 45 and defense loads in the SIG? In a comparison like that It’s just all about velocity.
John Ruth
All about the transfer of energy. Those cowboy loads didn't expand much, if at all, and those hollow points spread open like a flower dumping a lot more energy into the container and liquid. Slapshot
Yep but change those cowboy loads for real loads or even HP loads. Then the 9mm doesn't have anything on the 45c.
Texas Joker
I'd use a 45 as a bear gun but not a
