Dee Mak Jack, SASS #55905
I have a pair of blued Ruger blackhawk flattops in 44 special with 4 5/8 barrels. One is NIB and the other is in excellent condition. What’s a fair asking price? Thanks
Rex M Rugers #6621
A quick look on GunBroker shows 800.00 - 1100.00 range. Each , that is. I let a couple slip thru my silly fingers several years ago. Good luck , Rex
Still hand Bill
I saw a pair of the same guns, nib, sequentially numbered, for $950 two years ago. I would expect a bit more than that based on covid pricing.
Abe E.S. Corpus SASS #87667
I'm a real fan of the New Model Flattop Blackhawks, and the .44 Special is the best chambering for the medium frame revolvers, in my opinion. I've managed to keep my collection at one blued Bisley. A matched pair of plowhandled .44 Specials is very tempting; thankfully I shoot Gunfighter or Frontier Cartridge Gunfighter which gives me an excuse NOT to buy them. In the past it seems that the .44 Special New Vaqueros and Flattop Blackhawks tended to languish on gun store shelves. The average gun purchaser doesn't appreciate what they are. In my mind they are MORE desirable than, say, a .45 Colt, but a handful of fans does not a market make.
