Stalag 17 had laughs? And was a Christmas movie?

I found a few of the skits funny, like the guys painting a white line in the mud to get to the russian women prisoners or the guy whose wife tells him she found a baby on her doorstep and the way he kept trying to convince himself.  It took place at Christmas.

Are we talking about the same movie with William Holden and Peter Graves? I don’t have any recollection of those scenes. But then, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen it. I remember a movie about the bleakness of a WWII POW camp.

The George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carrol is not to be missed!!

As to movies with Christmas as a backdrop, Three Godfathers is a good one!

The animated Christmas Carol (although I dislike Jim Carey) is pleasant.
