MAYOBARD SASS #13025L
I have a 3rd Model Merwin & Hulbert Frontier Revolver. I have no idea what it is chambered in. I need the brass to find out the head spacing and if they will fit in the cylinder. Before I buy a bunch of brass, I want to know the answer. I already tried .44-40. Thanks. La Sombra
M&H's list the caliber of the pistol on the left side above the trigger and below the cylinder. Since I cannot tell from your picture, I guess that it isn't 44-40 since that did not fit . I suspect the revolver is in 44 Merwin and Hulbert. If 44 Russian, you might have a relatively scarce gun on your hands. From Wikipedia, The first caliber offered was the proprietary .44 Merwin & Hulbert (.44-30), which resembles the S&W .44 American, but is longer overall. Good luck!
