For Sale:  NEI 45-70 Paul Jones Creedmore mold .458-540 #349F

This mold is in very good condition and the cast bullets come out at about .460 inches in diameter weighing 551 to 552 grains with 20:1 alloy (i.e. 5% tin).  This bullet was designed by Paul Jones for long range shooting in the 45-70/.45-90/.45-100/etc. caliber rifles.  This sale includes the mold (no handles) and 195 bullets cast with 20:1 alloy.  These bullets work very well for the long range black powder loads.

$125 shipped in a USPS medium flat rate box

The first “I’ll take it” gets them and then please send me a PM.

Thank you for looking.

Hello Pee Wee,

Thank you for your interest in this mold.

One of the original loads for the Springfield trapdoor was with a 500 grain bullet.  The bullets from this mold run around 550 grains when cast with 20:1 alloy.  I have used these in my original trap door with no problems and even won a 200 yard "military" shoot using black powder back in the late 1990's.  Obviously each gun is different and I would want to be sure that the gun being used was in good repair (Smile).

I hope this helps.
