moving because a state is “gun friendly” is much more PC than moving for lower taxes, lower wages, reduced regulations or any number of other bland business reasons that Wall Street considers when buying stocks or bonds.

Got folks that live and work in the area!  Besides that, in the announcements of both S&W and Beretta, (another recent transplant to the South) they made it plain that the political climate, the new area being gun friendly, was a major factor in their choice of new locations!!

 

All that took was a little reading!!

All that took was a little reading!!

That could have been a factor for prejudice against any tax abatement for new facilities and jobs.

When the company statement includes something to the effect of we’re moving to a location where guns and the gun business is welcome, it doesn’t take much imagination to figure out what is going on.
