Red Cent
I have a 20" 1873 in 45 Colt. This has a mild SS done by one of two cowboys who started the SS craze. The rifle is race ready. Very smooth action. One piece trigger. Rifle is in excellent condition. Shiny bore. There is one place on the buttstock that was rubbed on one of our four day weekends. Light trigger. I have a 30" 1873 in 45 Colt. I traded Salvadore Dally for the rifle some time ago. I have not done anything to the rifle. Never took it apart. Safe queen. I would guess SD didn't. Marble tang sight does not go with the rifle. Just now occurred to me that I had put it on the rifle. The tan stuff on the butt plate is where I removed a suede cover and that is glue. I will get the citrus stuff and make it like new. Excellent condition. Shiny bore. Rifles have always been in very good condition. If you can find any 75 to 80 year old cowboys, ask them. They know Red Cent took care of his guns $1400.00 for the 20". $1500.00 for the 30". Shipping and insurance responsibility of buyer.
