Buckshot Bear
No one in Oz manufactures brass (at least for civilians) so its imported, but someone is making a killing compared to what you pay for Starline brass - 1000 x $161 USD (around $210 AUD) https://www.starlinebrass.com/357-mag-brass On 'special' at 1000 x $490 AUD down from 1000 x $570 https://www.ozgunmart.com.au/starline-unprimed-brass-cases-357-magnum-100-pack Winchester 1000 x $550 AUD https://www.theopenrange.com.au/winchester-357-magnum-unprimed-brass-100pk.html Jageman (new to me) 1000 x $440 AUD https://cowboygunsandgear.com.au/Jagemann-Unprimed-Brass-357-Mag-100-Cases
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
Some years ago, import duties were very high in Oz. Is that still true?

To be honest I'm not 100% sure, but it probably wouldn't surprise me. bgavin
It does not seem out of bounds for a pard to send a box of brass to another pard Down Under. A pard here, did that very thing for me with 44 mag brass. We are both in the US, but it is the idea that counts. Especially if that brass is once-fired and either clean or dirty, that makes declaration much easier.
Pat Riot
If there are federal restrictions and one gets popped sending a restricted item I am sure that could be a problem. There are export controls on ammo brass from the USA.
Sedalia Dave
Postage is way more than you think. A 15" X 12" X 0.75" envelope costs $12.20 from the US to AU. From what I can research a small package would start at $75.00 and go up from there.

Pard mailed me a powder funnel that must have sent off the sniffer as the package came with a notification that it had been opened by a postal inspector because it appeared suspicious. Only thing I can figure is they detected powder residue.
