Pat Riot
I only use one and that one is “savvy”. I knew of; chuffy, macaroni, savvy and shaver. I definitely plan on using “twistical”. I like that one.
Capt. James H. Callahan
I always wondered about that macaroni thing myself. I always figured savvy came from the Spanish word sabe, where the b is usually pronounced like v. As in quien sabe? (who knows). Sabe translates into "know" or "understand" JHC
Alpo
I believe it came from the Spanish, notwithstanding what the guy in the link said. If you go to Google translate, and type in WHO KNOWS, and translate it to Spanish, and then translate it to Portuguese, knows translates to the same word in both languages. Sabe. But if you click the little loudspeaker icon, it will allow you to hear someone saying that phrase. Sabe in Portuguese sounds a whole lot different than sabe in Spanish. Sabe in Spanish sounds a lot more like savvy then Portuguese sabe does.
