Looking for a pair of 1851 navy steel frame 5” 36 or 44 cal. Need a pair in the(nominal) 5” barrel, don’t want to have to buy new leather. If ya got a pair your willing to part with let me know. Prefer Pietta as I’ve already got the Slix nipples for em, but not a deal breaker if they’re Uberti.

Hey BB:

Yes, I'll do that.

Don't know if I can get it done tonight, but I'll try.

We're packing up the travel van & will leave at dawn for a short business trip.

Be back Friday

Thanks

Good Evening:

Both Guns:
Pietta 1860 Army with Navy grips
44 Caliber -- .451 or .454 round ball
5.5” barrel
“CF” = made in 2010
Bore & cylinder Chambers are good
Bluing & CCH is good
Half-fluted cylinders
Slix Nipples
Action by Coffinmaker
Cap Guards by Rowdy Yates of Lee’s Gunsmithing.  He removes a bit of the recoil shield, and replaces it with a piece of steel with a slot it it, too small for the spent cap to pass through.  Then, he reshaped the face of the hammer, so that it can pass thru the slot & pop the cap, but the spent cap cannot fall back into the action.  It is an effective mod.
Brass gripframe is tarnished (That’s the way I like em)

These guns are a consecutive pair.
I bought them that way from Taylors, if I remember correctly.
Sent them off to Rowdy Yates for the cap guards & a “Frontiersman” action job
Lately, Coffinmaker has been my go-to guy, and he has done any recent work, and kept them running well.

$875 Shipped USPS Priority Mail, insured to your door where legal
Thanks

I had an "Oops" moment -- Said $975 shipped, but, upon consulting my notes, it was $875 shipped -- Can't remember Jacksh*t anymore!
