I don't have enough roof space to offset my electric bill with solar. Been doing the math lately I use 60kwh a day without heavy ac.

Their grid ain't gonna work

Not that they are incapable of it... they're just above it.

Someone raised in the "asphalt jungle" cannot be bothered to be concerned with the needs of people in the Central Valley or mountain or agricultural areas to remove or trim trees or brush.  Hey, Politicos... ever heard of "fire control?"

I wonder what the penalty will be for smuggling a chainsaw or weedeater...

If they are smuggling it from Mexico, then no problem. None of the people in D.C., that are supposed to be in charge of the border, have bothered to even go down for a look, much less do anything about smuggling.

I've got the perfect roof facing the perfect direction for solar panels.  The only problem is, it's just not cost effective in Georgia.  I think they are paying about 3x our rates in California so it might make financial sense there.  We have hydroelectric dams and nuclear power plants.  No stinking wind mills.

I think these morons should experience life without electricity for a few days. It would be a shame if every lawmakers power feed (not lobbyists, but actual electricity) was disrupted for extended periods and often. That would be a real shame.

The last chainsaw I purchased was mail order. I guess they will have to find a way to make that illegal. Guess border states power equipment dealers will be getting the money CA business used to get

You need something like this to charge your electric car.

By the time you ride this enough to Charge your car to go 300 Miles , you will have pedaled a distance of 15,000 miles or more . So why not just ride the Bike????

I understand some cities (SF, Berkeley?) have also banned natural gas from new construction.
No more gas kitchens.

Meanwhile, an enterprising couple has come up with the ideal way to conform to electric lawn mowers.

The problem with all the "renewable/green" generation plans is they are weather dependent. As long as the sun shines, the wind blows and the rivers flow, things is ok. But as we're seeing in Europe and California, capacity is down due to weather, but demand doesn't diminish. Now they're scrambling with shortages and massive price increases. No one has EVER addressed the issue of how meet demand when the weather doesn't cooperate. We already have a viable delivery system that meets current and future demand.

And let's not forget that these greenies are poisoning the earth with the toxic refuse of manufacture and disposal of worn out batteries and equipment. They're determined to kill our planet in order to save it.

Is it wrong to hope that every politician who voted for this ban must face emergency surgery during a power outage and that all the ambulances batteries are dead?

That’s going to be thrown on the climate change heap . One more reason to raise everyone’s taxes

Hm.  Sassparilla Kid had a moment of insight this afternoon ~ he calls these people "American Bolsheviks."

He might be on to something there...

Unfortunately no.  The Bolsheviks overthrew the governmental power structure.  These folks ARE the American power structure.
