The Aussie Humour Thread

This is the Aussie humour thread. Jokes about Oz.

I'll agree that that platypus seems to be a joke, but that picture of the cake made no sense. I had to look up a Lamington. It said it was an Australian cake covered in chocolate and rolled in dried coconut. And that's what the picture appeared to be - a cake coated in chocolate with dried coconut stuck in the frosting.

I don't get the humor in either one of those two posts. Or the humour.

They just appear to be pictures of normal Australian stuff.

Just for you Alpo and maybe just maybe we might touch on Pavlovas tomorrow as a special treat :)

Every hot food shop in Oz it seems now goes to put this on hot chips unless you specifically say "Whoaa there just plain salt please"

Last I heard Vegetarians don't eat Chicken. So why would they use Chicken Salt?

What Is Chicken Salt? It's Australia's Secret Umami Bomb

But the real deal (and really good) chicken salt doesn’t contain “chicken flavoring,” it contains actual roasted, braised, dried, and yes, salted, chicken.

That Halal certification is getting more and more common down here.

Is that cake-flavored crisps, or crisp-flavored cake?

I'm quite the sucker for both potato crisps and lamingtons as my waistline will attest to, but combined....I don't think so for me!!!

Lamington chips...
Fair Dinkum! It's the ultimate Aussie snacking mash up. As a bit of fun we asked our Smith's flavour team if they could make lamington flavoured chips. They actually did it and we think they're beaut!

The CORRECT way to enjoy a Tim Tam :)

I enjoy Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies the same way!

Cold milk softens the cookie and hardens the chocolate shell. Delicious!

Is he just dunking it?

Because to me, that last picture looks like he has bitten off opposing corners, and is sucking the tea through the cookie (or cake or whatever the hell a Tim Tim is), like it was a straw.

You drink your milk through a Girl Scout cookie?

"not ALL ball tampering"

Aside from castration, what other "ball tampering" do they do in Oz?

Did that just reads like it's a slang expression that doesn't translate into American very well.
