Mexico Beach and Destin, too.  It just wasn't a Great White that followed it up to the boat.

Daddy caught a grouper head once.

Just the head- it had been bit off clean right behind the gills.

They think it's funny that the rest of the world is convinced that everything in Australia is out to kill them.

It's a national past time- just behind convincing the rest of the world that they drink Foster's.

Has homemade body armor he's wearing. Steel plate underneath the trench coat, and the steel helmet.

Yeah, well, since I heard the song countless times, I knew that - the trigger was " just finished a movie about another famous Bush Ranger, AKA not Ned.

..... maybe, he did die in more than one movie .......

A folk song we learned in primary school ... "The Wild Colonial Boy" .... and  ..."... Jack Doolan was his name ... "

That's a lovely thing about folk songs. The lyrics change, depending on who's singing it.

There's a cowboy song called Streets of Laredo. When I learned it, back in about 1965, the cowboy who was wrapped in white linen had been "shot in the gut and I know I must die". Most copies of the lyrics of that song you find today say that he was shot in the breast. And I found it in a book that was published in 1914, where it says he was "shot by a greaser" (that's a derogatory ethnic term for a Mexican, in case you weren't aware, being a furriner and everything).

We were just returning the favor. The mates from down under helped control a lot of fires here the last few years.

You supposed he kicked the door in, busted a window, or came down the chimney on a rope?

Seriously, every Aussie I've ever met had some story about some critter like a drop bear, kangarilla rat, or black-crested emurilla bird that attacks humans at every opportunity.

It ain't like ya'll aren't already giving Africa a run for its' money on the 'everything here either has thorns, stings, is deadly poisonous or can swallow you whole' reputation.

There's no need to make up stuff, too.
