Jerry Lewis did that. I don't remember which movie, but the lifeguard at the swimming pool was giving him mouth to mouth, and when she was satisfied that he was okay and was going to live, she got up and went back to her lifeguard chair. Then he stood up, looked around a couple of times, walked over to the edge of the pool and "fell in" and started "drowning" again.

That's one of the 17 zillion species of animals in Oz they try to kill you every time they see you.

But not our 47 species of Scorpions

Cool.  Ours had the same Bakelite plugs, but they inserted at the base of the pot, right next to the heating element. Eventually the heat cracked the cord case, increasing the chance of electric shock.

I remember my parents having one of those toasters. Mom swore it made the best toast, while Dad swore at it.

When the Base Exchange brought in pop-up toasters, he was first in line! :D

Never seen the coffee pot before, ours were stainless or aluminum percolators. I've seen the toasters, but never had the pleasure of using one.
