 ...... a Choc Block and a Sunnyboy please  :)

Did you also order for a younger brother or sister?

And how much did the ice creams cost?

Yesterday, while skyping with my Air Force Son in New Jersey, we heard music playing. Wife asked if that was the ice cream man, and it was. Recognizing the tune from the 60's, I asked if it was Mr. Softee. My Son smiled, like, how did you know, and said yes. I might be old, but I remember Mr. Softee's tune!

Another memory from the 60's, while on vacation at Rehobeth Beach, Delaware, walking to the corner store to buy a pack of Chesterfields for my Mom (Mum to y'all) and Marlboro flip-top box for Dad, for a quarter and a nickel each from the vending machine. The first time, I put the 2 quarters in, got 1 pack, and then didn't have enough change for the other pack. Went back and told my Mom, and she came and showed me the change slot, and there was my change! Can you remember back to when 20 cents mattered? Thanks for bringing back the memories, Jack!

This bird looks vicious, but what kind is it? What does it do?

In Texas, the State Bird is the Mockingbird, which is very territorial, and will dive-bomb pedestrians walking on sidewalks beneath trees with their nests. But it's between the size of a Cardinal and Blue Jay.

Your bird looks a lot bigger and meaner. And a lot more dangerous! Even the Aussie birds are lethal!

I suspect y'alls butterflies are dangerous, too!

Thar\ts' a Magpie and they too are territorial around nesting season.

Many have been attacked by these birds.

...... but they won't attack you if you are looking at them, or even if they can see your eyes ......

...... so, by drawing some sort of eyes on the upper back of your hat you are less likely to get swooped onto.

This, of course, doesn't always work ....  :excl:

Yes as Wallaby said, these (as well as Plovers) rank right up there in territorial birds that don't think twice in attacking humans with extreme prejudice.

Well it did break up the fight.

Some of my Irish Scharf (fe; ffe; Scarif) clan members, on my Mother's side were transported as well, back in the day,  from Coolen and Kilkenny Ireland.

Others settled here in Canada around 1806.

It would be neat to re-connect with them.
