Californians;.....

Recommended Posts

I believe the blue outnumbers the red almost 2 to 1 so it wasn't surprising that gruesom survived. California needs the worlds prayers as the left will be out for revenge against those that had the temerity to oppose them.

When I moved to California the first time in late 1982 I was told that California is a true melting pot of people, culture and ideals.

Over the years I have learned that this is true.

After all the heat, shaking and stirring the impurities have risen to the top. As time goes on more and more raw material has been added but there’s no one there to remove the impurities so they have now become a permanent part of the melting pot and have worked their way all through the mix and no amount of heat, shaking or stirring will remove the impurities.

The entire batch is now scrap.

Some folks might think this would be a warning to Newsome and co. to rein in their overreach, but it’s more likely that the governor will see it as a vote of support for his, policies, with plenty of room to move even further left.

Likewise, it shouldn’t be hard to see which areas of the state supported the recall, to be targeted for reprisals. “When you strike to kill a king . . . .”

Newsome got 81 million votes.

I was hopeful that a successful recall would permanently squash his ambition to be President in 2024.
This is not the case.

When that happens, all of America will be run like CA is run today.
Here in CA, we are facing increasing covid restrictions once again.
Now that Newsom is bullet proof, he will be unstoppable from here on out.
BTW, two of his kids came down with covid.

It's being reported that during the final week of the campaign the Gavin the First camp had $100 million Silicon Valley bucks dumped into it.

We do have interesting elections here.  Our congressman has lost at least two elections and continued to serve - always confident that "misplaced" boxes of ballots would surface in the days and weeks (whatever time necessary) after the election.  Heck... in 2020 he only fielded a token campaign... his win was pretty much preordained.

Not to worry.  Current scuttlebutt is that if (when?) the current VP ascends to fill a forthcoming void, Gavin is high on the list of candidates to replace her.

Who is your member of the House?

Jim Costa.  Now in his fifth term.

Last "R" elected from this relatively conservative district was Burt Talbot, in 1974 - the only "R" congressman in almost fifty years.

Mine is the oh, so honorable Mike Thompson, D, CA 5th.  A discredit to the CIB pin he wears on his lapel.

The eternal choice of mortal man....and, it seems, Californians.

To endure oppression....

Or to resist.

Too bad.

It's like a story I heard not too long ago, about battered women. This woman was talking about why women stay in a relationship with a man that hits her, disrespects her, and mistreats her, on every level.

The answer was...human beings are scared of the unknown, even if the unknown could possibly be better than the known.

She said: human beings, and in this case, the battered wife, are more afraid of the unknown, than they are of the bad known. Even if they suspect the unknown would be a better environment, they still resist change. Thus, this further "enables" the man to carry on as before, and abuse her.

Fear of the unknown.

Now, in this case, with the situation in California, you have to also factor in money, promises of free stuff, and dealing with the ignorant that think the state owes you.

This "near miss" will not make your present governor, or his lackeys', think twice about what they are doing. They will take it as affirming their policies, and giving them a mandate to go even more to the left, into greater socialism.

Frankly, if I lived there, I'd be packing up, and moving east. Many are doing just that.

Again:

- Many of us cannot/ will not leave family or careers not to abandoned.

- Some of us are of ages that make it kind of difficult to just pull stakes.

- California transplants are no longer welcome in some states simply because of where we're from.

And...

- It's not that we don't resist.  We do.  But we're outnumbered by more than two to one.  In the populated regions (Bay Area and SoCal) the ratio is as much as 85.3% to 12.7%, with a few "independents."  And keep in mind that the present condition was largely brought about by transplants to California from other states.  Hell, Gavin's Aunt Nancy is from Baltimore!

In the year 2000 it was reported that only one out of 11 adults in the state was a native.  At this time, we have almost 40 million people - over 10 million are from other countries.

Face it - We have been occupied.  -_-

I have made the 1/11 being born in the sate for years.  I even got in a p------ contest wit a Texan who continually bashed the state and told him outright that if the other 49 states kept their trash at home the state wouldn't have the problems imported from elsewhere.

He was even willing to come out and kick my butt....a hollow threat because he didn't have the guts and I have reason to doubt he had the ability.

Nonetheless, I'm now seeing that same thing happening to Arizona, and it saddens and frightens me.

My brother-in-law is a long-time Texan, who threw in the towel and moved to S. Carolina.
TX is now facing the same power and water problems as CA.
One of his close friends is a nuclear power engineer, who tells him that both TX and CA grids will eventually fail.

Beto the Fake Mexican came within 2.6% of unseating Ted Cruz in Texas.
To my mind... this is astounding... and highly indicative of the rise of the Blue Flu in TX.

As Hardpan notes above, pulling up and leaving isn't always easy.
Some folks thing farming is easy work when they plow with a pencil.

For us, that ship sailed 20+ years ago.
As an example, my home town of Boise, ID gets 15,000 new CA drivers licenses surrendered for ID licenses every year.
They are building houses there as fast as they can pound nails.
The Democrat mayor of Boise was the longest running in their history... 14 years.
The West Boise commute is among the worst in the nation.

Housing in Boise is insane... 1940s era, 1200 sq.ft for $600k.
The same is happening in NV, AZ, ID, WY.

For my situation, we would move away from our daughters, only for me to drop dead and leave my bride 1600 miles away.
It is just not worth it for us to flee CA for the last few years of our lives.

Nimrod basically "bought" his way out of the recall. Soros alone gave him 1 million$. No one knows how much Aunty Nancy gave. Since he wasn't in an "Election" there was no limits on his donations. All the contenders were in an "election" and were limited to $1500 donations per individual. At least we got him to spend millions out of the dems war chest. We'll see what happens next year when the field is level.

My 2 cents
