We can expect Apple to field an Electric Car.  Apple has been hiring every engineer they can get their hands on.  Just a matter of time.  Elon Musk says he has no doubt Apple is in the development stages.  Watch This Space

REALLY fun Vid Rye  :D

If you noticed, every vignette showed the driver slamming the car door.  I wonder if the sound was a trigger of some kind......

Probably to give the impression the car is tough...or will be tough.

Not true, you can take your Apple phone to an Apple store and get the battery replaced. I know a few people that did it.

Howdy

Friend of mine had a BMW electric car.

Cruise range was a real problem but expected.

When it got hit he found out there are a very limited number

of tool kits for making repairs.

And parts were sold in kits as well.

If the kit was missing a seal there was no way to order just a seal.

The dealer had to order a whole kit and hope the new kit had the seal.

Not something I need.

It seems to me that it would work better if the battery could be

removed and a fresh charged one installed.

Best

Yeah, that makes sense.  The nearest Apple Store is over a hundred miles away.

It's still worth the drive rather than buying a new phone. I have an Apple store less than 20 miles from me and another about 35;)

Oh great...Now I will have to get yet another Lightning Cable...

Apple includes lightning cables with its products. Of course the one meter cable will be too short and you will have to buy a longer one.

I saw something on Discovery Channel, probably 20 years ago about that. The plan was to have electric cars using a common battery pull up to a 'kiosk", for lack of a better word, and swap out an expended battery for a charged one.

Most people can't back into a parking straight now. <_< I can just see some of them trying to back the thing so precisely up to the charger.:o

It looks like it backs up itself!!;)

My boss has considerable business interest in China.  His last trip there his host was driving him around in an electric car.  Battery was getting low, he called a station for a fresh battery.  Drove in, car went onto a lift, a few bolts out, robot took the old battery out, put a fresh on in.  Half an hour.

Gassing Up takes a Lot less time .... If there is two Tesla's to a block you won't just have "Brown outs " the infrastructure just won't take it ...

Here the local PC shop replaces them for $40.00 out the door.
