Holosun 507C red dot

It's not a Trijicon.

It's not made in the USA.

It does have solar back-up for the battery.

So, who (if anyone) has experience with this optic mounted on a pistol?
Do you like it?

Would you recommend it?

Howdy Chief.

I have a 507C on my FN509.    It IS a darn good red dot and functions perfect.

Auto shut-off (I think after 2 minutes of no movement).

It automatically turns on with movement.   Reliable.

I have also found that the dot doesn't drift.   Once you sight it in, it stays sighted in.

Expensive, sort of, but probably one of the best on the market.

EDIT:  I bought mine because Slater had been using them for a year+ and

really liked his also.   I think his are the 507C also.

And he has gotten great reliability out of his.

..........Widder

I have the 507 on my Ruger 57....works great, the clarity is very good and easy to use.  I just can't find any ammo for my 57, perhaps that's why the sight looks brand new.  Really it is a great sight.

I have 2 Holosun red dots on my long range rifles for quick target location so you don't have to turn magnification down on the optic. Can also be used for close range engagements without using the big scope. Also one on my spotting scope. I wouldn't take one down range but for general use they are very good quality.

Thanks. Downrange to me is anytime I go to town. I don't want to own a handgun optic that's only suitable for a square range with paper targets.
