La Sombra
Help! I have decided to try Frontier Cartridge, maybe #TequilaShooter can watch me. I have a question. Living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in what amounts to a sub-tropical rain forest, should I worry about my loaded cartridges absorbing moisture? They will be stored in military grade ammo cans. I believe that I am overthinking the issue, but I'd like to hear others experiences. Thanks, La Sombra
Dantankerous
Store in a cool, dry area. Just like regular ammo. Works for me. Use desiccant packs to absorb moisture if you want more protection.
Abilene, SASS # 27489
Moisture can't get inside the loaded cartridge. No worries. Keeping the lid tight on your powder can is more important!

I recommend avoiding subs that are sold in bottles containing desiccant packs. You can get squibby ammo using hydroscopic powders. I've had that experience in the desert. I imagine it would be far worse on the Gulf Coast.
doc roy l. pain
I used both loaded cartridges and shot shells in the Alabama state match this year that I had written on the boxes “extra EOT ammo 2012”. Everything went bang. They had been in my pole barn.
