Help with Pietta '61 Navy's

I'm looking to bust into the Frontiersman class and was wondering if anyone had heard of lowered hammers for the Pietta '61 Navy's? Is this a pure custom job or are there some available out there somewhere? I just don't have long enough thumbs to make the stock ones work fast. If I have to I can order two factory hammers to work on as I have the ability to cut and weld up a set. Are there suitable donors to get the pad nice ad big and comfy? Would this even be legal/ I suppose I should have started with that one!

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

WHY YES!!  Yes I have heard of lowered hammer spurs for Pietta!!  Ye Haw !!  But, you can't just go out and buy 'em.  Have to be "made" by cut and weld.  Pietta and Uberti both make wide pad hammers with spurs that will work once cut off to be welded on in place of the narrow OEM spurs.  Check in with Taylors and Co. as well as Cimarron for Hammers.

Yes Sir.  They are quite legal.
