Biblical Justice -- Don't mess with Texas

Recommended Posts

FORT WORTH, Texas — A gunman was stoned to death by a group of people after he shot and killed one person and injured three others, according to a report by FOX 7 Austin.

Police believe the shooter became upset with a person during the gathering and returned with a gun, shooting at least one person non-fatally.

Police say the shooter was then chased by several party-goers which prompted the shooter to fire into the pursuing crowd. In response to being fired upon, police say the pursuing mob began to pelt the gunman with landscaping stones and bricks.

Dang...now I guess the liberal/leftists/socialists/bet-o, will want to ban landscaping stones, and bricks.

Maybe we need an addendum to the 2nd amendment to include landscaping stones, and bricks.

Can a warning label, similar to the one's we see on some gun barrels, be far behind, for landscaping stones, and bricks???

Funny how the authorities and community activists are criticizing the stone-throwers and not the gunman. I guess Texas is changing after all. In the old days there wouldn't be a single person who didn't think the shooter got what he deserved.

In the old, old days there wouldn't be a single person who didn't shoot back! ;)

Technically, a lynching is when the citizenry takes the law into their own hands and kills someone. In the American southwest it was usually done with a rope from a tree, so the term "lynching" has been accepted as to mean an illegal hanging. But as long as they killed him, it don't matter whether they hung him, or they beat him to death with a whip, or they drugged him behind horses, or if they set him on fire. If they did not have a court order for execution, it was a lynching.

Including pelting him with rocks.

Technically, Under Mosaic Law, they didn't need a court order.

Were those 'biblical justice'?

Not exactly.   Haman (sp) was hung, although I won't get into the circumstances.

It would be a curse of God to let someone 'hang' all night.   Basically, 'hanging' in the Bible

was in reference to being hung on a cross.

Atleast, that is my uneducated understanding.

Y'all DO realize, "Don't Mess With Texas" refers to an Anti-Litter campaign, yes??

The campaign should be Don’t Mess With Texans…. Plus, I think it’s what Gov. Abbott calls our new constitutional carry laws that were signed into law last month and take effect after next month….

More certain to cause cancer is our bad air from the fires.
Right now, I have an AQI of 230 a block from my house.
Higher than 460 AQI up the road apiece.

Fire season has started early.

he shot and shot at people - no handy rope a rock will do just fine , the courts are catch and release , better not to have him around to reoffend when no rocks are handy - 911 is still trying to respond

We, who do not live there, sure do hope you Pards are okay, and don't lose any lives or property. We don't know why you guys have all those fires, every year. We have some around here too, but not as often, or as severe, as y'all do. A lot of us wonder if there could be some preventative measures that could be taken, and if so, why are they not being done?  All of the California Pards are in our thoughts and prayers.

Those of us trapped here behind enemy lines, are grateful for your care and concern.
We are also genuinely happy for those of you living in the Free states, who have gotten their homes before the great Blue flood descended upon your state.

CA was designed by nature to burn.
CA burns today because hippies and tree huggers have blocked responsible fire management in court for decades.
All those little critters they wanted to protect from the mean ol' loggers... have been burned alive and are now dead.

The west coast fires are burning in WA, OR and CA.
The smoke has moved East all the way to Montana, says one of my lodge brothers on a conference call this AM.
We have friends in Reno who are choking on it also.

With AQI > 500 year after year, I fully expect lung cancer to be massive in another decade.
As CA dries out (more), the fires are worse every year.

Back to the subject of Biblical Justice, stoning etc.

Where would the Judicial Application of Tar and Feathers, for lesser offences, fall in this?
