I got the news from Whiskey Hayes.

When you have time please put on the wire about a shotgun technique class at the TN State Match.  The instructors are Widder and Missouri Lefty.  Class will be held after main match shooting ends on Friday.  Shotgun techniques covered apply to ‘97, doubles and ‘87.  No charge for the class being taught by two of the best shot gunners in our  sport today.

It should be a really fun match and this is a nice added bonus!

Agreed. Widder is one of the best. Unfortunately doesn’t change the +/- 2500 miles to get there.

Tell Widder and Lefty thanks ahead of time; myself and Mustang Lewis will plan to attend and I'm gonna put an extra $100 in the Breast Cancer bucket in their name.

Confirm.

Lefty and I thought it would be helpful to hold a SG class with information to share about

different techniques to use and tips for speed, should anyone be interested.

I'm looking forward to it myself.

We will cover some basic stuff and of course, some tried and true methods should

anyone be interested.

I'm really looking forward to a good time with some great friends, old and new.

As mentioned, this is a free class.  But should anyone desire to donate anything, as Tyrel mentioned,

it will ALL go towards this years fund raiser..... Cancer.

You think they can help me with my antique 10 gauge hammer doubles?

Howdy Warden.

Lefty is now shooting the Hammer Double.

Matter of fact, Lefty used a Hammer Double at Black Gold and won Overall.

I would venture to say that Lefty will be a great instructor for the Hammer Double.

Good idea, I'll try.

And put it on YouTube so that those of us who don’t do Facebook can enjoy it too!

Well then,  I might just bring my Remington Whitmore Lifter.

Hey Warden, when did you film that?

We got 1 1/8" of rain here yesterday,  in about 1 hour with lightning and thunder.

May of 2020.  We're having a dry spell right now.  Mud puddles are finally drying up.

That was the day I had 3 fingers on my left hand bleeding from scrapping

them on that uncovered, splintered table top at Black Gold.

I leaned not to do that anymore.   I don't remember exactly but I think I ended

up sub 5 for that day.

That is Slater on the 87 and Vaquero Jake on the SxS.

Heck, I didn't even know that video existed.   Thanks Warden.

Please note:  this class won't be a demonstration show on speed, etc.....

but rather on techniques with some speed tips.  It is intended to help

others learn some different techniques, practice tips, etc..... and hopefully

help others with any issues they may have.

Hell it won't matter. Them fellas would find a quicker way to read the phone book. Theyre like that with everything except being purty. I got them beat on that!:P

Looking forward to it....

TN Williams is gonna be mad at you for destruction of a perfectly good nanner.

He views Nanners as something sacred and should be reveered.     He actually has pictures

of Nanners and Nanner Splits on his walls of his man cave.

I will be there to provide consolation and pampering to all the folks what thought they were fast BEFORE the class.

If by pampering you mean providing nanner splits I'll be there. By the way TW, I have recently discovered the nanner smoothie as a lower calorie alternative to the split. Mmmmm. BTW, I'm gonna try ta sneak over to one of y'all's monthly matches to scout the competition and get familiar with those Middle Tennessee stages. I'm sure I can provide a free lesson on what NOT to do.:D

I plan to take full advantage of this opportunity!  I will need someone to distract Shagbark Steve and English Tom though...they do not need to participate in this training.

I REALLY need help with my shotgun.  But my wife is having both knees replaced the week before the shoot, so I probably won't be able to attend.  I live about 90 minutes from Wartrace, so maybe one of my kids can care for my wife long enough for me to shoot the main match, but I probably won't have time to do any of the extra activities.
