Widder Soft Stroke video

Because many clubs have allowed  .22 rimfire during the ammo shortage, I have been getting numorous contacts

on how to set up the Henry short stroke rifle.

I hope to produce a couple more videos about the Henry to help folks that want to

do some easy mods to their Henry rifle.

This video ONLY covers the short stroke mod and information on the bolt.

The Video.   I hope you like it.   Please let me know if I could have done it different or better.   Thanks!

EDIT:  at about the 4:30 mark, I mention 'width of buffer'.   I meant to say 'Bolt'.    sorri.

Well done video. Thanks!!

Slater does an EXCELLENT job with the Henry 'Soft Stroke' mods.   If I didn't have the know how,

I would want him to work on mine.

There are MANY areas of the Henry that are smoothed, checked for burrs, RECHECKED, and of course,

his trigger jobs are something to brag about.

My next video, I hope to share info about the hammer spring mod.  AND..... I hope to show everyone

a couple mods that I have rarely done.     They are the 'Kiss of Wow' in setting up a Henry that

I personally prefer.   Hopefully, I should have that video prepared by next weekend.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.   If ya got any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

If ya got anything bad to say..... call my PR man in Bucksnort, TN Williams, at BR-549.

Widder, have you fiddled with a Win. 9422?

OLG

Hey Lumpy.

Only to the point of smoothing it up.  I've never short stroked one although

I have looked at it before.

I have one that I bought my daughter in 93, the week she was born.   It basically

hers and it still looks like a NIB.   Doubt she will ever part with it.

I don't get it...what does this video have to do with Soft Serve?

If you were only my neighbor, I could explain it to you..... :D

I named it the 'Soft Stroke' mod because the buffer not only gives it a short stroke of 1.25" less lever arch, but

it quietens the metal to metal contact of the lever and frame.   The 'buffer' makes it soft.

Red Knee wanted to name it the 'Quiet Stroke', but I chose 'Soft Stroke'.

Everybody already used 'short stroke' for everything, pistols/rifles, etc.....

DQ has Soft Serve.

Widder has Soft Stroke..... ;)

Nice video Widder. Thanks for doing mine for me as well as the Slater trigger. It's quite fun to play with. About 5 bricks through it now since you did it!

Got a link to get the buffers?  I have searched power custom and Volquartsen and can't seem to find them.

Howdy Bob.

I've always gotten mine thru Brownells.

web site:     Brownells.com

Phone orders:   800 / 741-0015

Tuffer Buffer bolt buffer item #:  100-003-804AS (my favorite)

Power Custom bolt buffer item #:  713-000-100AS  (never actually used these)

Tactical Solutions shock buffer item #:  100-006-001AS (used these with good results)
