Buckshot Bear
Any chance folks could post up photos of their holster rigs either wearing them or just laid out would be great to see the different styles that people have chosen. Also who made your rigs would be great to know. I know I'm asking a lot of questions and just to make sure everyone knows, I really do appreciate the help and advice that I'm getting. Singin' Sue 71615
The hubby made our rigs. We could not afford to purchase 2 sets, but could buy the materials to make 2. Used from 2008-2018! I bought a Mernickle last year, and love it. He won one amd can't wait to get it!!! The second was a beautiful rig he built to go with pistols for a Friends of The NRA banquet. They ended up auctioning the rig...lined in pig skin!!!
T-Square
Old Dan River (Dan Parmenter) is my go-to for leather. He has made holsters for both my 38s and ROAs. (a pair each for the 5 1/2 and 7 1/2) olddanriver@twc and www.customgunleather.com
Buckshot Bear
Singin' Sue ....wow!!! They are incredible, very very nice! I've been thinking of making (or at least having a go) a rig for myself and my wife. 23 minutes ago, T-Square said: Old Dan River (Dan Parmenter) is my go-to for leather. Singin' Sue 71615
Lever Jim... A double shoulder will make 2 holsters... Unless you are looking at 45" and up. I like the Saddle Tan die...the NRA were Mahogany... The originals were lined with a shamy. I would not line them...just barnish... Strong side pattern from Tandy (but lower the top to give acess to your pistol better) The NRA was a money belt pattern. My sg belt is just a simple store bought belt, with sg loops sewn on. Good luck.

Equanimous Phil
Belt and Holsters are made by Michigan Rattler. I have two strong side and a crossdraw holster. The shotgun chaps are crafted by Docsoldwest, but he doesn't make holsters. Can highly recommend both for great leather work!

The Verdigris Kid
Here is my set I won made by our local leather maker. I was going to post his web site but he is wanting to slow down and took his page down. I had him make me 2 strong side and a cross draw holster so they all matched. My alias is stamped in the billet going around the back.

Buckshot Bear
I notice that the first style (holster higher up) shown on the first photo is much more popular than the holster lower down shown in the second photo.

The 'strongside' is very popular... The 'drop holster' is a requirement for B Western catagory. Download the 3 handbooks and read up!

The top one is more "period correct", the lower one came out in the 1950s for TV. However, the lower one is much easier to reholster and draw long barreled guns from. Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217
These are my favorites, made by Ted blocker and Anita Margarita. In the second photo are Anita Margarita, AM, and El Suave. All are sporting Anita's rigs. I my WB rig too. It was made by Wildcat John. I picked the colors and conchos.

ShadowCatcher
Both my rigs come from Alfonsos of Hollywood. The first is a double Paladin rig for short Colts, in case I ever do decide to shoot that way, the second is my favorite, a Paladin buscadero rig (sans silver chess piece) with a short Paladin cross draw holster at 12 degrees. They are steel lined and also very comfortable to wear all day. I also have an 8 round shotgun loop piece that wraps around the buckle in front so hat I do not need a seperate shotgun belt, unless of course the scenario implies I might need many more.
