Howdy,

In a movie it was said a Desert Eagle had combat grips.

Ive been checking around and dont see what combat grip means.

Anyone sure what a combat grip is?

And Not the grip of a shooter on a gun but grips on the pistol.

Pix are welcome too.

Saw a plastic bag at a gun show.  Yellow piece of paper with the words   1911 Combat rips and a $10 price tag.  Paced it by as junk.  Had to walk back a

to take a look.  A pair of Kim Arhends full checkered ebony grips.      Think anything besides factory people call Combat.  Finger grooves,, checkering, rubber or nylon.   You just have to pick      GW

"Combat" is one of those marketing words like "match-grade" and "Mil-Spec". They're out of context at best and just plain made up most of the time.

What is the industry standard for "match-grade" 1911 barrels? Wilson and Rock Island both have them...but they're certainly not up to the same standard.

Howdy,

I did find some real nice grips on gb.

Search smith wesson combat grip

I already have combat grips on a couple and didnt know it.

Mild finger grooves and checkered or smooth seems to be it.

Skateboard tape optional.

Skateboard optional too.

For a proper "combat grip" one must have "kung fu grip"....:P

Don't you have to be GI Joe for that?
