Anyone ever ordered fron COMPONENT CONNECTION?

I have been getting advertising emails from them often.

They supposedly have some primers, but not cheap, of course.

Any Pards buy from them?  Good results?

I checked the web and could not find any web site for them.

I assume we're talking about https://component-connection.com/our-inventory/#

Just looked on there, no link to a purchase option that I can find.

I do like this quote on their website (today being July 16th):

"Below is an availability chart of our current stock levels. This will be updated weekly. Updated 5/16/2021"

I check out the spelling, it may spoof something similar.
example I saw this morning called ammoandsguns vs a real place called ammoandguns.
second if the don’t have a physical address run away

third, google that address and make sure it’s not an empty lot or similar,

last if the only want bitcoin, zelle, no credit cards, run away….
too many are scamming ammo today….
they’re modern day stagecoach robbers….

Well, they were talking about a $100 Haz Mat Fee at the start of the email commo.

When I asked about 25K to 30K primer, order they said $60+ Haz Mat Fee.

I am an FFL and I have never paid that much on Haz Mat Fees on a little order like that.

Just sayin',

Using the link provided above it looks bogus. No physical address provided. No actual part numbers listed. No actual inventory numbers shown. One of the images is from a photo stock company, another was ripped from another ammo company website. Nothing looks are feels right about the site.

Cholla & John Boy,

Thanks for checking into it!!!

I have seen a few spelling errors in their emails and I was getting concerned that they are a SCAM outfit.

They have been bugging me with supposedly large quantities of 7 cent name brand primers.

And they have been emailing some of our local Pards telling about their primers that are cheaper than what I sell through my shop.

Much obliged,

Mustang

I just sent an email asking why he is operating out of a residence.

He said they do $8 million a month. And he's going to delete me from his email stream.

Bogus?

I wonder-----

I looked at it’s web page, it’s slick, no prices just a call us, and their “who we are” page has them saying “we’re not a scam” (meaning probably a scam).  They claim “warehouses”, and multiple people who all work to purchase components and powder, just to sell to you, plus they claim they have everything in stock.
there is no address, no names, no prices, nothing but a 1-800 number….
and a smooth operator can talk and scam people on the other side…. I bet they sell RX meds and car warranties too from the e call center…

They do mention they ship to class 6 FFL’s who are professional reloader’s.

personally, unless someone knows a professional reloader who used them, it’s time to block them.

and that 8million a month, that means they are selling 96million annually?   Lol.

I say Scam, and run away, run away….

The 800# on their site has been associated with a number of Scams unrelated to firearms as well, so probably one of those scam boiler rooms common over there

Not saying legit or anything else...and as a Component Supplier they should have their own HazMat certification. However, if a company doesn't have their own Cert, HazMat can easily cost that if they sub out their shipments...which again would be stoopid for a Component Supplier.

He's been emailing me back now after being offended by my "Are you really legit " questions.

I'm just not ready to try that outfit yet, though.

Total scam….  Check there was a previous thread on them.  Slick websites, payment by Bitcoin, Venmo or zelle only.   Scammer get offended when called out too.   Just block the emails.
better yet ask for a physical address and then go to google streetview.   99% chance nothing is there….

I say call them and tie up their line as long as possible, then they can scam less people. Dirt bags!

Scammers "toll Free" 800 number can be forwarded to a very expensive toll charge number.

Here is what I found.

STAY AWAY.

There are multiple indicators that this recently-created Component-Connection enterprise is not to be trusted:

English language spelling errors
No BBB rating
No User feedback
No Physical store address listed
No indication of how email addresses were obtained
800 Number registered to Vodaphone account in India

Also member Highpower-Fclass observed:

- The domain name was registered 2 weeks ago
- No information on where they are located
- Only contact information is a 800 phone number and email address
- The so called 'Inventory' page shows no information other than that they supposedly have everything in stock
- No pricing information whatsoever

STAY AWAY. PROTECT Yourself!

Component Connection
1625 Country Club Blvd

                Cape Coral, FL 33990-2175

It looks like a residence on Google.

A retired crew chief Pard of mine lives only 10 miles from there and he's going to go check it out.

  • 5 weeks later...

He went and looked at the house at that address.  It looks like a normal residence.  No tell tale trucks, deliveries, etc.

No employee vehicles parked around there.
