Fill Yer Hand
Just a quick question, when installing a hammer spring on a pistol grip rifle should the spring be flush and contoured to the lower receiver tang or should there be space between the tang and spring so it stays flat? Randy Saint Eagle, SASS # 64903
I tighten mine to the tang, if I want it a little lighter I put a small lock washer between the spring and the tang. Randy
Colorado Coffinmaker
The 1873 Main Springs are intended to be screwed down to the lower tang. Randy's washer tip works for a little reduction. Further reduction requires the spring to be "tuned."
