Kid Ricky Bobby
My father gave me a first gen SAA in .38. It did not include the original grips. I’d like to put some original grips on it.
Goody, SASS #26190
Is that a 38 special or a 38wcf or perhaps a 38 Colt? While it makes no difference so far as the grips go the 38 special, if a true factory gun, is much more rare that the other two.
Wild Willi
I have an early pair of the wood grips, however these early guns did not have grip frames that were all the same and had much higher tolerances than guns of today that said. If your interested PM me WW

M. M. Wright
Look it up on the Colt web site and see when it was made. You really need to letter it to see what was on it when it shipped. I may have what you need but won't know 'til you find out more. Then they were all individually fitted before bluing so getting a pair that really fits will be iffy. Ask on the Colt Forum.
