Nickel City Dude
Pee Wee, thanks for posting this. I watch a lot of "The Rifleman" on re-runs and always thought he was using a 73.
H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619
Nice article. And it lays to rest the oft repeated legend that Connor's rifle may have been the same one Wayne used in Stagecoach.

Nasty Newt # 7365
Thanks from me as well. That was a great read. I remember years back Johnny Crawford said there were three rifles on the set. There was the shooter, the most reliable one. There was a "walking around" gun, which was the nicest. The third one was a beater, which was used for throwing around, dropping in the dirt, etc. The beater was an El Tigre.
Doc Coles SASS 1188
Interesting article, but honestly the adds in the magazine are more fun. Makes you wish you could buy a few SAAs, 1911s, and 1917 Colts, some 1903 Springfield’s and Garands, and mannlicher pistol or two. I would probably pick up a Chauchat as well.
