I understand mailing back to myself is not needed.  But I thought being I would not be receiving i needed to ship to a ffl?

No transfer of ownership. Ship it to someone with your name as the addressee.

That's my understanding also.

Consider the shipping costs then decide. An FFL can ship them USPS priority a lot cheaper than you can via UPS or Fed-Ex. Add up the total costs and then decide.

Federal law allows you to ship long guns via USPS.

See you live in NY. NY laws are likely more restrictive than Federal.

Yeah... And I've got to log them in and log them out... And you'll pay a fee...etc...and I'm not shipping to anyone but am FFL...so now you've to too deal with the receiving FFL...

Educate me if you will.

What's the process that you'll implement to receive these firearms.

Thanks,

Phantom

In my case, the fees my FFL would charge makes the grand total way less than the shipping costs of UPS or Fed-Ex. When you add in the hour plus drive each way to a hub it becomes a no brainer.

I may find it easier to ship my pistols to an FFL. Is any recommendation on who to use?

Easier than what? You've still got to get your long guns and ammo down here. Are you concerned with having the pistols on an airline flight? I believe that as long as everything is packed well, ammo separate and firearms in locked cases there should be no problem with checking them for the flight.

Just like any gunsmith receiving and shipping guns. Not complicated.

Land Run i.e. Nationals, will be held in October 2022, 8th through the 16th.  Twelve stages..  You're local FFL can give you info on who can ship or receive firearms in other states.

Any apps out yet.

Hello,

yes it’s early but I prefer to know my options . I have flown before but out of A smaller airport from Long Island. Driving into Queens to fly with guns can create difficulties.

thank you

Hello,

I see Land Run was 10 stages. Will Nationals be 10 or 12 stages?

If you can do without them for a month, I’ll bring them home from Ruckus and see you in OK! You know I would take food care of them! :)  Same for ammo, etc,

Hugs!

Scarlett
