I saw an interview with her and she said that she wasn't a great singer but that she could blow the doors off their hinges with her power. The radio show "Mark and Brian" used to have musicians perform live in their studio during their show. A lot of them didn't sound quite the same compared to their polished recordings. They had the Wilson sisters (Heart) on with Nancy playing acoustic guitar and Ann singing. Her voice still sounded absolutely amazing live in the radio studio.
