While I was in Florida a few years back, he and I traveled to a couple weekend matches together

and I totally enjoyed his company.   He's a super nice feller.

I agree with Widder.

Preacherman has been my travel buddy for 2 years before the Plague engulfed the Land.

We had lots of good times and interesting conversations.

I look forward to more next year.

We had planned to go to Comin' At Cha last year, but things went sideways.  Have other travel plans in Oct of this year and just can't do both, otherwise I would meet you in Florida and head west.  If you don't make it this year, maybe in 2022....

That's kinda like when we got into that little town in Pennsylvania.

We were at EOT.

We went South to SC to meet up with a buddy of Shanley's from Desert Storm and then visited family in Waycross, Ga.

Went down 10 to Mobile, then upwards to home...stopping in at Tbones for a few hours of good sleep...got home last night after 3k plus miles in 2 weeks!

Nothing will tighten your sphincter like being pushed into oncoming traffic by your trailer!  Once, when heading to Florida with my Tahoe loaded to the brim with dive gear, and with a hitch carrier and roof rack full too, I was literally standing up in my truck both feet on the brake pedal and pulling on the steering wheel with all my might trying to get it to stop as we coasted into an intersection.

 

As the Good Book says, God watches over fools and children (figure I'm covered both ways!) and we managed to come to a stop only halfway into the intersection.  After that, I installed the most aggressive brake pads available on my truck, declared the rotors as "consumable items", and replaced pads and rotors annually and now I travel with spare undershorts, just in case!

Contact clubs on the way, close enough for you to drive to and see if anyone would travel from there.

The clubs could get the word out...

Not everyone uses the wire.

Also, post on the CAC fb page that you're looking.
