John Kloehr
Thinking towards Christmas as a present to myself for next summer... I have a nice pair of 1873 Uberti Cattleman revolvers (.44 Special). In the Tennessee heat, they are not solid in my sweating hands. Did find these on the Uberti site ($220 for the pair): https://www.shopuberti.com/grips/370801 Opinions or options? Springfield Slim SASS #24733
It says 110.00 per revolver.
Warden Callaway
Looks like you could solve the slippery grip problem at lot less experience. Just stripping the plastic finish off would go a long way. But Sawmill Mary and I both have Smoke Wagons with these checkered grips and they work in hot weather.
Sawhorse Kid
Checkered grips are never a bad choice.
Abilene, SASS # 27489
Send your grips to a laser engraver, it will be considerably less expensive. Also, new grips would need to be fit to the gun.
Too Tall Bob
If you do send your grips off to be engraved, jot the sn of the gun they came off of on the inside of the grip. That way there’s no confusion as to which goes with which. Just a thought….,,,,
Imis Twohofon,SASS # 46646
NC Ordnance has grips for Cattleman revolvers for less, I have installed several. Minor fitting, well made, lots of options. They are one of the sponsors of the Tennessee State match. Imis
Patagonia Pete
I see they kicked the price up again!! $29 ... usually $15-17 but no biggie ... These work great (same grip frame as Cattleman .. and are cheap!!). Nice and thin and easy to hold on to ... https://www.berettausa.com/en-us/stampede-grips-plastic-standard/a094011/

I ordered a pair of reproduction (fake) Colt grips from MidwayUSA but they wouldn't and couldn't be made to fit.
