Doc Altman SASS#74468
Caladisi, I've been doing the same thing with a Winchester 94. It's taken me three months to find/order/receive all the components. I was able to purchase a set of RCBS Cowboy dies from a member here on the Wire. Were it not for the generosity of one of our members ( thanks, Adolph Vancinghand), who cut me the best deal ever on some brass, I'd still be twiddling my thumbs. Luckily, when I returned home from EOT, I found some lead on my doorstep, so I'm about to start loading up a few rounds. FYI, Rim Rock Bullets has some .38-55 lead in stock. Good luck to you. If I can help, don't hesitate to shout. --Doc

Doc Altman SASS#74468
These old .38-55 rifles can be coaxed into shooting well. I shot this target yesterday. Three different groups at three different point settings on my tang sight. 100 yards.
Doc Altman SASS#74468
Caladisi Kid, I’ve got some of the longer Starline brass on back order. When it arrives, I’ll send you some to get you started (if you haven’t found some by then). —Doc
Caladisi kid
Doc, Thats some pretty good shooting for minute of elk. I have yet to do a chamber cast and barrel slugging and then I will know for sure on the case length. Keep me in mind when you get your brass stash.
