Three Foot Johnson Posted June 16, 2021 Share Posted June 16, 2021 Three weeks ago, it was blizzarding and in the 20's. The past three days have topped 100 degrees with high winds and relative humidity in the 20's. There are several wildfires covering thousands of acres burning out of control in half a dozen places in the state. Yesterday, a DNRC helicopter was lost working on the Deep Creek fire near White Sulphur Springs when it experienced a hard landing in the wind, rolled over on its side, and caught fire.
