Hf tumbler media

Ok I scored today at a shoot a hf tumbler and sifting pan for 25. Which walnut media 12 or 24 grit?

 Lizard Litter Desert Blend.

either one will work as well as corn cob

I reloaded commercially for 18 years.

I used Pet Smart lizard litter.

I would run my tumblers for about 3 hours.

Turtle Was polishing compound.

Auto Zone or Walmart or just about an auto parts store.

3 or 4 caps full about every 2 months.

Remember I ran tumblers every day for 3 hours.

After about 4 to 6 months the media would stop working

This will get the brass clean.

 

If you want bright shiny brass.

After cleaning, put the brass back in the tumbler for 15 to 20 minutes with corn cob. (no cleaner)

Looks brand new.

This is the way to go,  if you stay 'dry'.

Today, I wet tumble only with ceramic media.
