Cholla
Read this thread: https://www.coltforum.com/threads/scammer-profile-reminder.385772/ Marvinthemartin is a scammer but read how hard he tries to deny it. Read the story he gives about being a combat vet. Here is his ad: All of the guns shown have been ripped from recent and past gun auctions. Some have been altered to remove distinguishing marks. If you have any questions about an online gun sale use google image search to see if it pops up somewhere first.

Badlands Bob #61228
Having to be a SASS member to sell in the classifieds does tend to cut down on the scammers. Buyer beware when dealing with strangers over the internet.
Widder, SASS #59054
But if you think about it, a Scammer can join SASS just to run his/her Scam. Just because they are a member of SASS doesn't mean they are an honest, LEGIT Cowboy Action Shooter. ..........Widder
Kid Rich
That is true. I had a conversation with a guy a couple years ago that claimed to be a member of a club I shoot at. I told him I was interested in what he was selling but wanted to meet ftf to make sure it was what I wanted. He refused. I asked the MD of that club if he knew the guy and he had never heard of him. Scammer all the way. kR
Cholla
There was a FS post a few months back in which he claimed to be a past member wanting to sell his firearms. He got belligerent when told he had to be a member to sell, claiming we obviously didn't want his good deals and we were really missing out. That type of stance is classic scammer. There were comments at the time that make me think there are some on this forum that are too greedy or too naïve to think that it might be a scam. There are times we are like wolves snatching at an elk carcass, trying to get the best bits of meat for ourselves, myself included. We need to remember that sometimes there is strychnine planted in the meat.

No one knows your sooper sekret identity. (Only the Shadow knows!)(And if you didn't see that coming, well.....) If the sale sounds too good, it is more than likely a scam.
