Well I bought my pistol 6 weeks ago and been scouring the net, auctions ,stores and was about to order a not the same new version and wait 6 to 8 weeks of hell waiting for it. Well I was about to pull the trigger on the new one . An I did one more night searching. An I found it

I found one Cimarron Eliminator 8 at a local shop supposedly an new in box traid.  The price was too good to pass up.  May have never been shot but the action was road kill.  It took a lot of work to get it right.

I expected to order a second to go along with but Cimarron had discontinued them.  I watch the gun auctions and such for one to pop up.  None did.

Then I got word that there were a few that showed up on a list of oddball stuff that Cimarron sent to dealers.   I got my gunshop guy to order the second.   It had problems too but much better than the first.

Shot them in a match in in May.

My Stimulus Colt SAA in 38WCF.   We walked into one of our toy stores and spotted this first generation Colt SAA in 38WCF made in 1906.  It had action problems.  I came back the next week and brought an old double and stimulus money to talk trade.  As luck would have it, the action locked up in the store owner's hands as we negotiated. I think that helped the negotiations.

I took it to Bill Fuchs at Spring Creek Armory and he put it back into shape and refinished it,

Meanwhile,  later in the summer,  we were in a different toy store and they had gotten in a new in box third generation Colt SAA in 38WCF made in 1996. I did the only thing I could do.

That's how I got a set of Colt SAA in 38WCF. Just 90 years apart.

I just got my second generation Colt SAA in 45 Colt back from Spring Creek Armory in Ten Sleeps Wyoming.   Bill Fuchs did a complete makeover.  My third generation Colt SAA in 45Colt made in 2019 in front.  Bill color cased the hammer on the third generation last year.

They are nice looking revolvers.  I know what your problem was, when I bought my first revolver it was a reproduction 1875 Remington and I searched and searched for another one.  I had to settle for a Colt reproduction and finally approximately two years later I was able to find another one.  Of course, then Covid hit and I haven't been able to shoot them together yet, but maybe later this year.

I bought my first .32 H&R mag in 1986, a Ruger Single Six.

I shot Ruger OMVs in .45 since 2005 but bought a baby Vaquero in .32 with a birdshead grip in early 2019.  I looked for a match until late 2020.  Now I have a salt&pepper set (one blued and one stainless) to match my OMVs.  I prefer the look of one working blued gun and one shiny engraved gun.
