Subdeacon Joe Posted June 8, 2021 Share Posted June 8, 2021 We have a request for some custom threads, 1.438 - 80, roughly 1 7/16 - 80. I've used three different methods to calculate the pitch diameter and I'm coming up with a .009" spread. Any machinists out there who can crunch those numbers? Also, I found that for the 3-Wire method for measuring PD the best size wires are .00722 (use 3 .007+ gauge pins) and the constant is 0.01083. Sound right?
