Howdy,

In change yesterday I noticed a different quarter.

The date on a real new shinnnney quarter was under the president(again).

Seems Washington Crossing the Deleware is the new reverse.

All those state and park and on designs might be done?

Seems some folks are down on Washington for owning slaves.

Can you have constitutional rights before its written??

Too bad that quarter wont buy a burger any more.

We have rights as human beings regardless of the State.   Many people, far too many, talk about "Constitutional rights" as if somehow the State bestows rights on us with some sort of magic wand.  The reality is that those "Constitutional rights" are we the people telling the State, "Over these things you have no power, they are forever beyond your reach. "  Or, "Keep your grubby, greedy paws off!"  In W. VA Board of Education v Barnett the United States Supreme Court put it, "The very purpose of a Bill of Rights was to withdraw certain subjects from the vicissitudes of political controversy, to place them beyond the reach of majorities and officials and to establish them as legal principles to be applied by the courts. One's right to life, liberty, and property, to free speech, a free press, freedom of worship and assembly, and other fundamental rights may not be submitted to vote; they depend on the outcome of no elections."

Howdy,

A while back I figgured up it costs me just about 37 cents to make

a pot. a quart. of coffee.

That doesnt count the price of fuel or water or the coffee maker.

But aint that new quarter just GREAT???????

Instead of doing "heads or tails", you do "left or right". In one picture he's looking to the left, and in the other picture he's looking to the right.

Howdy,

We have a local Dollar Store with everything priced at a dollar.

Amazing what one dollar will buy.

A lot of paper products.

A lot of different cans of soup and beans or corn or......

5 ounce bag of several snacks.

Small bottles of fingernail polish.

Small quantities of pills such as tylonol.

Toothpaste.

Flip flops.

The cheapest thinnest american flags.

Plastic and some metal kitchen tools.

A lotta stuff.

Howdy,

And yes I did find something very useful priced at a quarter.

16 minutes of DRYER TIME for just one quarter.

Now the washing machine...well that is 12 quarters.

I just drop quarters from pocket change into a little bottle.

A lot of wash is done without hitting the change machine.

Inflation is a wicked thing.

I wasn't aware that they had finished with the National Park quarters. I haven't seen any 2022 Nat. Pk quarters at all, nor have I seen this one. I do like the look though.

Sycamore has parking meters that take dimes nickles and I think pennies.

I wonder if the meter tickets are so low???????????????

Whenever I go over there I fill the meter.

I dont want to know how big the tickets are.

I think you can still get 25 minutes inna parking meter for just ONE quarter.  Maybe.  Almost??

That'll  get you about 3 minutes in downtown Seattle...if you wanted to go there.

From what I can find they issued 56 America the Beautiful series quarters. 5 per year starting in 2010 with 1 in 2021.

That's what I thought might have happened. The only 2021 quarter that I was able to find was the "bat" quarter. There were 4 others in 2021 and 5 in 2022 that were supposed to be minted but I can't find any evidence that they were. Maybe someday they will continue the series and I can complete my sets, both P and D.
