Trigger Mike
Progressive has the commercials on how not to become your parents and in one of them the guy says the waiter does not need to know your name. I told my wife I intended to do that one day. I took my oldest daughter and younger son to Ruby Tuesday for dessert after supper yesterday. The oldest wanted Cheese cake from Ruby Tuesday. As we were paying the tip I asked the waitress again for her name and then introduced myself as Michael. My daughter who is a waitress bowed her head into her hands. She was embarrassed . she got more so when I began to explain to the waitress about the commercial. She laughed as she had seen the commercials. It was fun. Subdeacon Joe
If we get the "Hi! My name is Anthusa and I'll be your server tonight " line I'll often reply with something like, " Hi, Anthusa! This (pointing to my wife) is Lisa, my name is Joe and we're delighted to be your guests tonight!" Always gets a smile and a chuckle.
