DeaconKC
Saw an ad for a liquid skin sealer for cuts. It looks like it would be very useful in my First Aid kit for the range and matches. Will it work under hot/sweaty conditions, as band-aids just fall off?
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Works well. I use it when a bandaid just doesn't fit the spot where the cut is located.
Bad Bascomb, SASS # 47,494
Plus 100+ to Larsen. I use it a lot, and it works well. Cuts and especially when fingernails are separating from the nail bed due to excessive filing, sanding, etc.
Smoken D
Used it for more than 40 years. Also tick bites helps stop the itch. Great stuff IMHO
Texas Joker
Mostly alcohol that evaporates off, works but it'll burn til it sets. Highly recommend some one shot superglue tubes. They bond skin instantly and water freezes it so it stops being sticky.
irish ike, SASS #43615
It works but.... it's like pouring gasoline on the cut. Wakes you right up.
Grumpy Old Man
Super glue is cheaper and works great.
sassnetguy50
X3 for super glue. Also works as protection on a thumb if it is getting raw from thumbing or loading magazines.
Pat Riot
You gotta rub the lotion on the skin or you’ll get the hose…
Joke 'um
I've found it works less well if the cut is still bleeding. If possible, get the bleeding stopped and the cut closed before use. The sting is to tell you not to do that again.
Singin' Sue 71615
Works as 'super glue'... But, handy brush keeps from dripping, glueing fingers together. Is a product for glueing false finger nails, so added bonus is it has an anti fungal in it. Cheap enough to keep a couple in uour cart...you don't want to 'share' the same bottle. This will not wash off. I stuck a knife into my palm...here is the scar after using nail glue to close. I also used it to close the hole left in my dog's hide after his wound healed from being shot!!!
