BOHIC Gas and Diesel prices

Keep in mind if the price goes up enough fracking and shale deposits become profitable again. SD and West TX get to see the oil booms come back.

That's assuming that the Biden controlled EPA allows fracking.....

Private land and oil leases. The current administration can control new issue and public lands but not existing private contracts.

That's funny.  Everybody I know calls him, "that fracking Biden",

. . . Or something like that.

Oh come off it.  I don't remember the price of Dinosaur Squeezings coming down with the announcement of defileing the Arctic for profit.  Prices won't go up just because pristine wilderness is being protected.

Face it.  Big Oil & Gas rase prices because they get up in the morning with a hangnail.

Sheesh

Three bucks a gallon along the soggy south shore of Lake Erie as of 6-2-21.

As to what will cause prices to rise ... like dear old Dad said ...

"Any excuse will do."

Ol’ Walter is continually finding new ways to try to destroy the economy! Approximately eight million job openings in the nation and he’s pushing for more and extended unemployment benefits!! We just get through avoiding one petroleum catastrophe and he invents more ways to screw it up worse, (which stands to reason because he wants the oil industry dead) so he can promote the false narrative that we MUST convert to electric vehicles.

The idiot and his subversive nitwit second in command want to cripple the economy and castrate the SCOTUS so that they can force socialism on us without resistance!!

It’s not like he could come up with this on his own. HE’S WALTER!! Whoever has their hand up his backside at the moment controls what comes out of his mouth and crud like Bloomburg and Soros and a few others of their ilk are taking time about!!

You guys hanging out there on the Right Wing crack me up.  Total disconnect with reality.  Of course, pointing out the reality is a completely wasted effort.  By the way, in case you haven't noticed, Petroleum is a FINITE resource.

Just a hair under $3.00 this morning when we were out. I figure by about a week or two we'll manage to get above $3.00 a  gallon headed toward the 4th of July holiday. Electric vehicles aren't that practical around here yet, no charging stations. Of course, when they get to be the norm, then we can complain about the electric companies rates:rolleyes::angry::blush:

NOTHING right wing about my statement. It is documented fact. Lyin’ Joe Biden has not had an original thought in fifty years. He repeatedly demonstrates that he is a dottard who needs a keeper.

As far as reality, I pay my bills. I do my job. I care for my family and property. I pay my taxes. I live in the real world where I have watched your left wing liberals, time and time again, try to raise taxes to pay for programs deliberately designed to bankrupt the country and set policies that infringe on the rights of some individuals while giving others a pass to do what they will. They continually try to “redistribute the wealth” to those who support them in spite of the fact that those supporters refuse to even make the effort to EARN that wealth!

8,000,000 open jobs and this IDIOT is asking for more unemployment benefits!!

What does this IDIOT propose to do with his electric vehicles when the coal fired power plants quit producing electricity because he banned them from using coal?  What happens when the electric power grid fails because the government in places refuses to clear right of ways and won’t allow use of waterways to be used for power production?

My proximity to the “right wing” is not NEARLY what you think it is!!  I deal with stark reality every day!!

Those “liberal” people oppose nuclear energy. They oppose petroleum energy! They oppose hydroelectric energy! They oppose coal powered energy!  Do they think electricity just comes out of a receptacle by magic??  IT WOULD SEEM SO!!  They obviously think money grows on trees and that someone else should pick it for ‘em!!

We became a great nation by the premise that “If you don’t work, you don’t eat!”  We took care of our own and charity went to those truly in need.

Now, some of us believe we’re “entitled” to it all and it should come without the dirt and sweat that’s needed to make it all!

AND YES!! Petroleum IS a finite resource!  It CAN be used better!! But preventing us from retrieving and refining it is NO ANSWER!!

The rescinding of leases and the promotion of the idea that they are doing it for “environmental” reasons is disingenuous at best and at the least politically motivated!!

 As far as “cracking you up”, don’t blame us for your mental issues!! :o

I guess it doesn’t matter to our newly elected government that the USA is…was energy independent. New oil fields are found annually.

https://newatlas.com/largest-continuous-oil-gas-us/57579/

http://america.aljazeera.com/watch/shows/the-stream/the-stream-officialblog/2013/11/29/oil-and-natural-gasreportednearpuertorico.html

But I guess perhaps it’s all unimportant to our current government because we can just go back to supporting the Arabs and buying their oil.
https://gulfnews.com/business/energy/7-billion-barrels-of-oil-found-in-new-abu-dhabi-reserves-uae-in-sixth-position-in-global-oil-reserves-1.67603727

That way in 10 or so years we can end up in more military conflicts protecting oil interests in the Middle East…and somehow or other a Republican will be in office to take the blame.

Yep, we are an obtuse bunch…

And it’s kind of hard to swallow that they want all cars to be fully electric in 14 years when the electric infrastructure in this country is in need of a lot of repair. No new electric plants have been built for a long time because of whack job environmental laws.
If you’re thinking “solar” and “wind” are the answer look up how much electricity is provided via “green” resources versus how much is needed. Besides, now environmentalists are anti wind farm because they hurt the avian population. Wind farms are also noisy and the oils and lubricants needed for the turbines needs replacement and disposal. They aren’t really that “green”.
Solar takes real estate. The solar panels needed to power a small town take up acres and acres. Oh sure, you can cover the buildings with panels. That helps. Just wait, in a few years there will be a new heat weather phenomena because the solar panels reflect light and heat back into the atmosphere vs being absorbed on the ground.

I could go on but I am sure you get my point…or you don’t. I really don’t care.

Hate to tell you this but everything is a finite resource, Including the materials used to make electric cars practical.

Lithium reserves are expected to be exhausted this century.

The rare earth minerals used to make the magnets are in even shorter supply.

Well then.  Let us just continue to use Coal and Oil to fuel our carbon based energy needs and continue to turn the atmosphere so toxic the planet becomes uninhabitable to human life.  Brilliant.  There is NO Planet "B".   Any body got a great Plan??

Don’t be silly! Overpopulation is going to destroy the planet long before that. Remember “finite “.

The smart thing to do is work on alternatives but don't limit oil and natural gas and fracking in the meantime. Experts say we have over 100 years of oil. That's what Trump wanted to do but this bozo in the White House wants to do it right now to appease his left wing radicals! Wake up man, this guy is the worst POTUS in my lifetime and I'm pretty darn old!

Yeah! I’ve got a better idea!! It’s not original and I don’t claim to have thought it up. If you bought into the “carbon credit” and “carbon footprint” crap, you probably won’t listen and you most likely will dismiss it without any further thought.

The planet is ALREADY cleaner than it was fifty, even as few as twenty years ago!  AND we keep improving it, in spite of what the self appointed “environmental experts” will tell you!!

Clean coal is in its infancy, but has and continues to show promise!!  Coal will likely still be available when your (NASTY) lithium supplies have been exhausted.

Petrolium can be used for more than fuel and it too has continued to perform as a lubricant, a building material, and a raw material in other manufacturing endeavors. As a fuel it has become cleaner, more efficient, and far more versatile than any other source of user friendly energy.

That being said, the comparison to electric in vehicles has been badly and sadly misrepresented by certain segments of the press and those in some political positions.

Electric is really quite nasty! The batteries themselves are corrosive, expensive, and not recyclable. The manufacturing process is also extremely environmentally unfriendly and the raw materials and the collection and refining processes are even worse!  We’ve already discussed the inefficiency of the recharging process and of the infrastructure required. Let’s not forget that transmission of electric energy has its own shortcomings! You have to have lines and wires to carry current. It requires maintenance and expansion to keep up with demand. It takes the same kind of mining and manufacturing effort that is required for petroleum and coal production and is dirtier than either. AND there are the dangers associated with high voltage power lines to human health and the fire hazard that comes from failure to clean and maintain right of ways in “environmentally friendly” regions! Finally!! Remember that electric motors produce OZONE!! The “environmental experts” have conveniently left that number out of the equation!!  When everyone is driving an electric vehicle, (count air and ocean travel in that number) what effect will THAT have on the atmosphere/climate???

I pointed out already that the libs and the left are oposed to nuclear power and any expansion of that resource! What they fail to recognize and refuse to acknowledge publicly, is that with the development of fusion reactors, we can harvest hydrogen fuel.  Fuel that is clean and efficient. Fuel that when burned, produces oxygen and water!!  Hydrogen can also be used in fuel cells to produce electric energy.  (DUHH!)

If we spent half the energy and maybe even less money than what has been wasted on falsely promoting and glamorizing the “Carbon” problem and the excess effort to shove electric down our throats, we could have solved the real problem long ago!!

Other nations have embraced nuclear power production and are safely reaping its benefits. We as a nation have done the research and developed the process, only to see others profit from our work while we lag behind, building inadequate wind and solar farms that just more than barely provide less than dependable energy.

The undeniable truth is that we should and MUST continue to develop ALL of our energy resources! To do it, we need to aggressively persue the raw materials that we have and use them efficiently. To do it efficiently, we HAVE TO keep the costs to the public down, keeping the nation’s economy strong and vibrant.

I learned about these things in high school!! This year, my graduating class will have its fifty year reunion!!  Just think of all the time and money wasted!!

Make no mistake!!  We SHOULD do better!  Excusing ourselves with finger pointing at others isn’t productive!!

Constructive criticism is a good thing!!  Misleading and misdirecting our public is counterproductive in the long run and detrimental to the nation now and in the future!

We have wasted enough time and money already!!  It’s time we took hold of our sorry assed politicians and made them do what is really good for the country and the world.

I am afraid I wasn't clear in what I was driving at. If you look at our cities 50 years ago with the poisonous smog and black pollution we had, it was terrible. Look at North Korea and China today, the Olympics in Beijing are a perfect example of what I was driving at. Our needed commitment to clean up our air and water was successful, but expensive and cost our industries a lot. Our Nation should maintain this, but we cannot cripple ourselves any further until our politicians put the pressure on other countries to do the same.

Of course, President Creepy Uncle Shotgun Joe is going to block drilling in Alaska!

It's unfair that we aren't paying $9 a gallon for gas like the Europeans and he's all about 'equality' (whatever that means in the new Leftist lexicon).  That's the same reason Barry did everything he could to run the gas prices up and keep them high the entire time he was in office and it ain't like Joe has been cognizant enough to have had an independent thought since '16.

My plan is to live life and enjoy what I've got while I've got it.

The sun is going to expand - its going to EAT Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars - then it is going to explode and destroy the remaining planets in our solar system.

Buying a Tesla and paying politically elevated prices for gas and beef because they make the sun hot is a fools errand.

The same panicky snake oil salesman played these same games with "Peak Oil" back in the 70's and they will be playing it until a better bogeyman comes along.

Don't be afraid of the bogeyman.

Food for thought - you want solar?  They need YUGE plots of land to put up solar farms.  my kid used to work for a company that built solar farms. Guess what - trees get cut down to facilitate the establishment of solar farms.  Resource collection requires the expenditure of resources.  Electric cars are currently charged using power from nuclear and coal fired power plants and guess what THAT does to the environment.  The religion of environmentalism worships a false prophet.

Do I want a good life for my kids?  Sure I do - everyone does.  The adverse is an offensive and foolish accusation for people to levy against one another and simply signals a lack of valid and relevant responses for the topic.

Do I want a good life for my grand kids ?  Of course.  The same caveats apply.

Do I give a loose stool on a Tuesday evening what my great great great great grandchildren are left with?  Nope.  Not at all.  Guilty as charged.

I was a Boy Scout until I joined the workforce at age 14.  I took a lot of the ideals for my own.

I try to leave places and things better than I found them!

If everyone did this…

You can live life at the limits and on the edge and still do good and make things better!!

I’m trying to show my grandsons this and get them to accept the values and responsibilities that my parents and grandparents instilled in me. If I last that long, I expect to show my great grandchildren the same things.
