When I was a kid a steakhouse in Pittsburgh had a similar deal only everyone at the table ate free if one person could eat the whole thing. My Dad tried to eat this platter sized steak. He was unsuccessful. He put a big dent in it though.

Utah Bob #35998
I have been preparing only kidney friendly meals for Carol for the past year or so and red meat isn’t on the menu. The local market stated carrying some prime beef this year so I went ahead and got a small filet for myself last week. It was marvelous!

Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795
There was a steak house here that had a similar deal. Steak was at 6 lbs. or more, plus you had to do the sides. No ties allowed there, either. If you wore one, they would cut it off and hang it from the ceiling
