I was in Target yesterday and I found a small flag to add to my flower arrangement for the dining table. I stopped at the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. The woman behind the counter said "oh nice flag". I replied, "the reason for this holiday is not lost on us". She smiled and said "Thank you". Then, the veterans, that have served, and also that have given limbs, eyesight, sanity, and their lives, in defense of our ideals, and freedoms, will not have suffered, and died in vain.
