Holy sheep dip!  Is this one as epic as that one about the killer tree a few weeks ago?  I still have not recovered from that one.

Oh, I  doubt that the pure genius of that can ever be matched by mortal man!

Well dangit, Joe... might as well leave the popcorn 'til next week.

I think I shall eschew Svengoolie tonight for that other magnificent Lon Chaney Jr classic, One Million B. C.  ^_^

(Sorry; no Raquel Welch in this one)

Unfortunately, tonight the marine layer moved in and the sky was illuminated by light reflecting off the clouds. No Starlink viewing tonight. Perhaps tomorrow night. ;)

I  went out to look and the sky was still too bright and there was too much ambient light to see anything.

I saw them again tonight - not as bright as last night; this was the last time they'll be visible in this area for a while.

But I learned something!  When https://findstarlink.com/ gives a time and directions, the time is close but may be off a few minutes, depending on when the sun set... and they may not be visible at all if there is too much residual light.

More importantly, the directions (i. e., "Look from NORTHEST to SOUTHEAST" was the instruction tonight) indicate the satellites direction of travel, NOT where they will appear in the sky.  Tonight, I spotted them about 50° above the southern horizon - but travelling northwest to southeast.

Keep your head on a swivel! ;)

They were just enough later tonight that I was able to see them, getting into astronomical twilight.   Also, the lights on the high-school football field were not on and that cut way down on the ambient light.
